Green Tip from our Website Visitors

Give the Bag the SackCarry your own reusable cloth bags for grocery shopping. Besides being much stronger than plastic bags, I find the large canvas bags much easier to carry. Many stores are now crediting shoppers who bring their own bags too. Who knew that being green could save you some green at the grocery store? If you do forget your cloth bag when shopping, then make sure to reuse the plastic or paper shopping bag a few times. They are great for carrying your lunch, capturing litter in your car, lining a trash can, picking up after your dog or for your next trip to the grocery store. Green Tips for Offices

Shut it Off!Instead of putting your computer in sleep mode when you leave for an extended period of time, go ahead and shut it off. Believe it or not, powering off completely can save up to 10 times the energy. Alsomake sure their computers are also turned off after they've gone home for the evening. However, first make sure everything is saved. During the day, setting your computer to go to sleep automatically during short breaks can cut office energy use by 70 percent. Remember running a screen saver still uses energy! |
